Donor Stewardship Coordinator
-
Jan 2022 - Aug 2023
- Stewardship strategy that supports the whole team from Food Donors, Foundations, Individual/Annual giving and Corporate with engaging touchpoints and communications. - Participating in strategy development, donor journey and advocating equitable speech in donor stewardship. - Supported the Events team with ideation and creation of stewardship events, tracking, and event operation. Assisted with creating two new events focused on stewarding donors and food waste awareness. - Managing 15 - 25 volunteers twice a year and 2 monthly volunteers for various stewardship campaigns. - Updated the campaign strategy by leveraging Ringless Voicemail and implemented the service to improve our communication timeliness reaching 16,000 donors. These campaigns reach out to thank donors and lead to spontaneous gifts, information on legacy giving and donor updates. Demonstrated strategy, strategic planning, and critical path growth. - I transformed our food donor thank you card program from costly traditional cards into an eco-friendly Post Card campaign that we run in-house, reducing costs by 35% and integrating individual donors into the process. I coordinate the Excel mail merge of multiple lists and manage 2 volunteers who come in and print the cards monthly. This is an integral program in the stewardship of food and individual donors that increases the connection. - I facilitate the gifting matrix of discretionary and targeted gifting for all our donors, individual and corporate. This relationship is holistic and allows a connection with donors around our mission while remaining mindful of the gift's impact. I sought out and gathered community members, Well users, ILO, Engineers, Well Drillers, and NGOs for a workshop and community consultation to prepare a $1.5M UN Peacebuilding grant to help women and girls safely access water. Hosted and received sponsorship for a workshop event providing transportation, meals, and a stipend for attendees' time in exchange for their voices, ideas and opinions on the Well building, operation, and management. Created a report of our findings and distributed it amongst the attendees in English and Krio, later to the larger community. Planned the implementation for partners from the workshop to train women in financial literacy, conflict resolution, health and safety for Well operation. This grant is directly helping the communities in need of water and supporting women as the primary water gatherers. Show less

While working from home I conducted research with a team to develop economic and social innovation opportunities for youth moving on from COVID-19 through ethical and confidential community data collection. My team and I developed this into an index for future use in policy and further study. I advocated for ethical research practices and diversity representation that lead to more comprehensive index data that better represented the community. On the job learning and training in the AGO’s development department has been varied, giving me a perspective of the organization and its needs. I provided industry research, AGO Next program audit with client survey as well as donor engagement to multiple areas in the department such as Donor Programs, Planned Giving and the Director's Office. Through these research and administrative activities, I helped build the foundational components of the planned giving program while providing insight and innovations of the sector and best practices.
