Alongside my managerial duties I was also appointed the roles of Social Media Champion and Children in Need Champion. My responsibilities within the social media role were to schedule posts daily, keep up to date on the latest trends, analyse the social data, respond to comments/queries, grow our reach organically and promote the latest films showing in the cinema. During my time as Children in Need Champion I organised many events with my team to raise funds for the charity, which involved everything from bake sales to completing a 5k run. Our final fundraising total reached over £1500, besting the previous year and reaching far above our site target. My time as a manager taught me the art of patience, how to manage and deal with any issues that should arise in the team and also how to communicate through the different levels of staff.

I sought employment with Cineworld due to my passion for cinema and was pleased to work in a team environment with those whose interests similarly matched my own. My duties as a Team Member consisted of customer service, selling tickets, cleaning and preparation of food areas, making popcorn and cleaning screens. Working for a cinema enabled my passion for film to grow alongside honing my team working, customer service and communication skills. But my favourite aspect of the job was informing customers of the newest releases and building a rapport with the frequent visitors, where I was able to use my knowledge to recommend the newest films based on their tastes. I started my time in the company in a 12-screen multiplex within a team of 60+ and upon my move to London, moved to a 4-screen inner city cinema, working in a team of around 10. Both sites enabled me to learn the basics of working in different sized teams and to feel comfortable communicating with a large or small group. I was then promoted after moving to the new site three months after, for my strong work ethic and leadership abilities. I won Cinehero (Employee of the month) four times throughout my career with the company.

As an intern for the ranch my list of duties was extensive and I worked long hours often starting at 6am and finishing late into the night. My main duties included training horses, ranch maintenance, leading guests on trail rides and caring for the guests and horses. This internship was the most difficult yet rewarding position I have had to date as the hours and work were extremely physically demanding and I often found myself exhausted. However, I still look back on my time at the Rocking Z as one of the best summers of my life as it was here where I learned the ranch lifestyle, really enforced my work ethic and gained confidence talking to all manner of people from different countries and walks of life.
