After having volunteered for AIME Mentoring was offered a paid role, in which I was responsible for looking after mentors, running tutor groups and mentoring students, organising program days, and assuring accurate data collection. With a team of 7 staff and 300 volunteer mentors/ high school student mentee's; public speaking, enthusiasm, organisational skills and being proactive were all crucial to this role.
