The modules are on formation and functioning of SHGs, setting up a micro enterprise, improving business financial skills. This was followed by conducting Training of Trainers on the delivery of the new modules. These modules on financial education are based on adult learning principles and uses videos as was preferred by the SHG members. Joined MicroSave’s Executive Programme for Young Professionals in 2003 in Africa. On graduation, joined MicroSave’s expansion initiative as a founding partner for MicroSave in Asia and was part of the MicroSave’s journey from a 4 member team to 100 plus professionals. Key achievements: Set up MicroSave’s office and policies in Papua New Guinea as the Country Representative Set up and head the Microfinance Expansion Project in Papua New Guinea PNG). Position reports to the Governor, Bank of PNG as Chair of Project Steering Committee and Head of Executing Agency and internally to MicroSave Managing Director (Asia-Pacific). It is a USD 24 million project, funded by ADB, AusAID and Government of PNG Made significant contribution in designing and establishing the Centre for Excellence in Financial Inclusion (CEFI) and to the process of endorsement by the Cabinet to accept CEFI as the national coordinating entity for all financial inclusion activities in PNG As Vice President and Head of Knowledge Management, Training and Research set up MicroSave’s Knowledge Management and Training Unit to deliver services which included capacity building with a focus on training and exposure visits, event management, documentation, dissemination through print and electronic media. CASHE (Credit and Savings for Household Enterprises) was a microfinance project (1999 to 2006) funded by DFID and implemented by CARE. Under CASHE 33 NGO-MFIs in the four states were mentored through which 728,431 clients were brought under the fold of microfinance services and linked to financial services to the extent of over USD 40 million.
