  Derek’s experience with designing started as a framer, giving him the perspective of a builder while learning how to draft. By truly understanding the paper-to-building process, he developed the ability to design with the end in mind. He pushes the boundaries of design by researching municipal codes, staying up to date with innovations and looking for ways to make a big impact with subtle changes. MADesign & Drafting is a boutique design and drafting firm in Escondido, CA specializing in high end remodels and new construction primarily in the San Diego coastal areas. At MADesign, we LIVE the full design. We listen to homeowners to make their dream home a reality, right down to the smallest detail. Our business is driven by current client referrals, repeat business and residential real estate developers.
