  Before the pandemic, I did DoorDash because I was a full time student. I would drive to food locations around my area, pick up food, and deliver it to the customers. I had to make sure I was keeping the customer updated through the app and I also had to make sure I stayed on time as well. I really enjoyed delivering food when I did because it was nice to meet so many different people. I had to interact with customers face-to-face and make sure that I had excellent communication with them. I also had to interact with the restaurant workers in order to ensure that the order I was picking up was correct.The skills I learned working in a restaurant really helped me when it came to this aspect of the job.   I would do opening duties such as open the umbrellas, sweep indoors/outdoors, restock the bathroom, and clean/polish glasses. When parties were coming in, I would prepare a tray with the proper amount of empty wine glasses. While the winery was open I would continue to clean throughout the shift as well as attend to any guest needs. Once the winery closed, I would close the umbrellas, wipe down counters/windows, clean the bathrooms, take out the trash, and help with anything else the other employees needed. Interacting with guests was a very big part of the job. I would make sure that all the guests were satisfied, and alert the bartenders if someone needed tending (this was due to the fact that I was not 21 at the time).
