I work in the office of Senator Joni Ernst of Iowa. This particular internship is currently giving me insight into first-hand accounts and testimony of issues that important to Iowans such as agriculture, veterans affairs, foreign policy among others. The internship allows me to observe how the legislative branch works and make comparisons between the differences between the federal government and my previous experiences in local government administration and labor.
