  Throughout middle and high school I took advantage of many volunteer opportunities. During my middle school summers I joined a volunteer group called Velocity where each week the student volunteers would be assigned tasks at elderly homes, homeless shelters, foster homes and animal shelters under the supervision of the Velocity staff. I was also a student volunteer at the Boulder Humane Society. In highschool, my dance team was required to volunteer for a number of community projects, assisting in such events as the Boulder Ironman competition. Show less
