The Greenbelt Farmers' Market Network is a network of 120+ farmers' markets and hundreds of farmers across the Golden Horseshoe region of Southern Ontario. The Network was founded in 2011 as a project of FoodShare Toronto, hosting yearly conferences connecting farmers' market managers from across the region. The Network provides space for farmers and farmers market managers to connect and collaborate; develops and implements innovative programs to support markets and farmer's capacities to grow and distribute fresh food; conducts impact studies; provides tangible resources and support and more. The most recent Market Managers' Day was hosted at FoodShare Toronto in 2019, featuring speakers and plenaries from the urban agriculture space, Public Markets leaders, local food champions, and Good Food Market managers, bridging the gap between farmers' markets and food security.
