York Sport Union President

My role includes :- Overseeing the 67 University Sports Clubs- Overseeing the development of College Sport and College Sport Leagues- Liaising with the University and other partners in the development and evolution of campaigns to further sport at York.- YUSU Trustee and Chair of the Finance Committee, giving me governance experience within the Charity sector.Key projects I have been involved with include:- Facility Development: Flat Floor Space, 3G Pitch Development, and the Campus East Lake - A College Sport membership pilot scheme to improve equity of provision amongst College clubs and increase accessibility via a grants scheme to buy equipment, subsidise kit, and pay for additional training, as well as linking the pilot to existing widening participation schemes.- College Varsity 2020 - York v DurhamI led the Events Project Group, liasing with the Sports Coordinator on timetabling, as well as leading my Committee to create innovative ideas to draw in more spectators such as the 'Spectator Lounge'.- Virtual Roses 2020 - York v LancasterMigrating our annual Varsity tournament, Roses, online as a result of COVID-19. In total, 44 challenges, involving 40 clubs and societies, 6 fixtures, and a fundraiser raising £4,472 went ahead on a page that reached 33,937 organically over the weekend.

BUCS Student Director and Physical Activity and Social and Recreational Sport Officer

As BUCS Student Director, I represent the views of 2.5 million students to BUCS in my role as Non-Executive Director on the BUCS Board. As part of my role I have :- Sat on the BUCS Awards Group Panel - Chaired Student Officer Network sessions with Sabbatical Officers from across the Nation to share best practice, opportunities and encourage collaborative problem-solving.- Liaised with Regional Student Chairs to improve student representation within BUCSI also hold the role of BUCS Physical Activity and Social and Recreational Sport Officer. In this role I sit on the BUCS Physical Activity Board and have been involved with the following projects :- BUCS Challenges- BUCS UNIversal Gym Scheme- Am a member of BUCS Advisory Group
