Here at Baltic Born, I am in charge of making sure that the clothing here is of quality. In the returns department, I receive clothing items that customers have previously purchased, but have decided to return. My job is to examine the dress for any flaws and then fix them or label it as a damaged item. This is so we can give our customers quality clothing items. Once the dress is in quality condition, it is also my job to make sure the dress is folded neatly in a company bag. While working at Smiths, I was able to help people in my community shop for their families. I was able to pick specific items that the customer requests to purchase. I would examine the item to make sure it was of good quality, and if it was not, or the item was out of stock, I chose a similar quality item as a replacement. Once the order is complete, I would personally deliver the groceries to the customer's vehicle at Smith's designated pick-up location. I greet the customer and go over any replacements or items that we were not able to replace due to items being out of stock with them. I would approve their payment and unload their groceries into their vehicles. Show less

While working at Mo Bettahs for almost 2 years, I was able to gain so much experience. I was able to learn to multitask in a fast pace environment. Frequently, my shift position would be on the drive-thru line. This would mean I would have to effectively talk to the customer on the headsets, while also making their order at the same time, and pay special attention to any requests for changes in their order or specifics. Doing these two things would be timed in order to effectively run each customer through the drive-thru. I would also be frequently on dish duty. While most of my co-workers did not like this position, i greatly looked forward to it. I like a clean work environment. Cleaning all of the dishes the employees would use throughout the shift was enjoyable. Making sure all dishware was of quality cleanliness was important to me. In my time at Mo Bettahs, I was able to train new employees. I would train the new employees on how to greet customers, properly plate their food, and ring them up at the register. This was very rewarding to see new employees learn how to properly do the job. I especially liked watching those who were more on the quiet side and watching them be comfortable coming out of their shell when greeting customers and serving them. Show less
