EFX Media is a media production company located in Alexandria, VA and serves the Washington D.C. area. They help companies and organizations achieve business results by creating compelling video that inspires, educates and promotes. Some of the top clients include ExxonMobil, Airbus, CARFAX, FEMA, Total Wine & More, and more! As video editor my responsibilities consisted of: - Creating projects, importing footage, and assembling a basic sequence, editing some videos through to completion and handing off others to a lead editor. - Using multiple applications, such as Avid Media Composer, Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Photoshop. - Working with a colorist to correct archival footage. - Organizing media for streamlined workflow. - Organizing and editing multiple weeks worth of time-lapse footage for client deliverables. - Working with content in multiple different languages. - QC of all content (including motion media) for perfection before delivering to client. - Learning and adopting the company's workflow, client list, naming conventions, and preferred export settings based on client's platform of choice. As a PA, my responsibilities consisted of: - Handling and managing talent on set - Memorizing and running talent and speakers through the production's ROS (run of show) - Organizing, ordering and picking up meals for set (not craft) - Working as script supervisor, keeping a log annotating each shot and its timecode, checking with sound to see if we need another take, and noting which shot is a print.

As the company's lead editor, I am responsible for: - Creating proxies for streamlined workflow - Cutting the main edit of each project for multiple clients and meeting tight deadlines - Collaborating with an assistant editor - Polishing audio and carefully selecting music + SFX - Providing assembly cuts - Working directly with clients to ensure all their creative and professional needs are met - Data management I've worked on set as: - DIT (Digital Imaging Technician) - Responsible for transferring footage and data to post production and formatting the camera card. - Production Assistant - Organized travel accommodations, equipment and company moves, strategize the shot list and schedule, honored continuity, etc.
