  Assigned to Serco to support the Dubai Metro contract with specific focus on the management of the Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) department. Responsible for ensuring the delivery of the planned and corrective maintenance regime, while delivering projects to improve asset reliability and efficiency. Working with the Serco team of senior leaders we were able to identify the short, medium- and long-term strategies for each area. A series of workshops enabled the strategy to be developed and briefed to the 300 engineers and technicians in the teams. MEPS is the largest asset owner on the Metro system with over 120,000 assets located system wide in 56 Metro stations, 3 Depots, 6 substations and various annex buildings. The assets range from over 800 lifts, travellators and escalators, public and staff washrooms, HVAC systems, lighting, fire protection, Platform screen doors, 33KV power supply, 750VDC 3rd rail power supply for the trains and all other LV systems.

  Fugro is a Dutch based company founded in 1962 and is a market-leading company in all sorts of geotechnical investigations. Fugro Middle East was established in 1972 and has its head office in Dubai UAE and works throughout the Middle East and East Africa. My tasks and responsibilities includes but not limited to: • Main point of contact between project stakeholders, i.e. project management/engineers, contractors and clients • Handling logistics & mobilization of equipment and personnel • Supervising and representation of geotechnical surveys onshore and near shore • Barge master in various projects throughout the GCC • In charge of maintenance/certification of all near shore equipment such as: self-elevating platforms, tender boats and drilling rigs. • Making safety inspections and ensuring construction site safety • Ensuring adequate details and quality in the execution of the onshore/near-shore geotechnical survey work and in-situ testing • Ensuring that all onshore/near shore geotechnical surveys are conducted to the approved scope of work, safely and in a timely manner • Approving and signing off the contractors daily progress report on behalf of the company • Giving/attending daily tool box meetings and liaise with the contractors Site Manager
