My initial reaction when Maarouf Barry asked me to recommend him on LinkedIn was one of surprise and apprehension. Surprise because I should have done this a long time ago. Apprehension because I wondered if I had enough superlatives in my vocabulary to come close to capturing Mr. Barry’s entrepreneurial talents, business acumen, and desire to make the world a better place. Upon some reflection and introspection, I must admit that I don’t. Mr. Barry is one of the most talented aspiring students and entrepreneurs I’ve had the honor to teach and mentor during my almost 12 years as an educator at the collegiate level. He is smart, resourceful, talented, and driven to succeed. He combines these qualities with a level of ethical and moral behavior seldom seen anywhere. I have taught, worked with, and mentored Mr. Barry over the last three years. He seeks and accepts criticism and quickly incorporates newly acquired knowledge and skills into his thought processes. I strongly recommend Mr. Barry as I am supremely confident in his future success. I strongly recommend that organization that is smart enough to be interested in him hire Mr. Barry before someone else does.

Maarouf stands out for his leadership amongst a group. He is always going the extra mile to get the most out of a training session or a group event. He is passionate about making a positive impact on the world through entrepreneurship. Maarouf's extensive traveling has given him a global perspective that has led him to be open-mindeded and to develop unique ideas. I have enjoyed my time immensely with him at Accelerate!
