      A Study to Prepare a Business Development Plan for Ectoparasite Medication among the Livestock: Developed by a Grass-root Innovator, Gujarat AbstractThe present study makes an attempt to understand the livelihood pattern and contribution of livestock in the livelihood of a village of Gujarat. It attempts to prepare a business plan for an herbal medicine develops by a grass-root innovator, for ectoparasite infection among the livestock. The work is based on intensive field work on a village Amarapur, under Gandhi Nagar district, Gujarat. The study shows that the livelihood of the study site is mainly depend on agriculture and livestock. The pastoralists of village are suffering from various challenges like ailments, less milk production etc. but among of all livestock ailments, 100% livestock are affected by ectoparasite Infection. And only 40.90% pastoralists are using regular medicine for ectoparasite infection. On the other hand a grass-root innovator developed an herbal medicine for treating the ectoparasite infection, scouted and value added by National Innovation Foundation-India. After a local market survey of available medicine against ectoparasite infection and after feasibility analysis Affordability of villagers is more than the available product in the local market. So to promote the herbal product some effective awareness programme required pastoralists. The each medication period of that product should be five to six days. The quantity of the product is required for one year relief for each livestock that much product price should be in the range between Rs.139.28 to Rs. 213.70.
