During my intership I studied the role of the transcription and piRNA pathway in the etablishment of heterochromatin in the Drosophila embryo. I studied, during 2 months, the pro-inflammatory interactions between RAGE and S100 proteins in a cancerous context. I developed a new protein purification protocol in order to try to cristalize your protein complex. I used different molecular biology and biochemistry techniques : DNA extraction, PCR, cloning, ligation, bacterial cultures, cristallogenesis. I was in a lab which use zebrafish as model, so I could see crossing techniques with this model.
