I'm so excited to be launching Conservation Nation with my team this Fall. Our goal is to save threatened wildlife and their habitats by fueling a self-sustaining movement that brings a more diverse and inclusive community of conservationists to the fight, today and in the future. In short, it takes privilege and access to become a successful wildlife conservationist today, and we simply can't afford to keep those longstanding and systemic barriers in place any longer if we're to save endangered species around the globe. Conservation Nation will be: 1) Providing grants and support to existing and emerging wildlife conservationists who are role models for the next inclusive generation of conservationists, specifically women, people of color, Indigenous Americans and those from disadvantaged communities; 2) Educating and inspiring underserved high school aged youth in our D.C. pilot area to see themselves as wildlife champions, including pursuing a career in wildlife conservation. We're building out our programs, our advisors and our partner organization network now -- and we can't wait to kick off our impact this Fall. Show less
