I took over the extra portfolio of Arts Culture and Heritage in October 2010. This added a museum and an arts co-ordinator to the seven libraries I lead and managed. The Museum was a rebuild and re-opened after 3 years in April 2011. As the Library Manager at South Waikato I managed three libraries and a community library. I lead a team of 10 librarians and also volunteers at the libraries. They were a vibrant team and we introduced the Summer Reading Programme to the South Waikato to increase the literacy skills of the children and share the joy of reading with them all. This was amongst my best achievemnts there. As the Library Manager at South Waikato I managed three libraries and a community library.
