  Andrew Kohn is a medium sized manufacturer supplying custom packaging with an environmental focus. Providing marketing, manufacturing and branding solutions, Andrew Kohn provide functional solutions to customer’s challenges. With broad financial and operational responsibility overseeing the entire company, including compliance and risk management, within my role at Andrew Kohn, I provide a broad, accurate and focused approach to my role, which has resulted in mutual success for the business and myself. KEY ACHIEVEMENT Pursuant to a down turn in profits as a result of lost import sales, we became soley dependant on manufacturing for profit. I applied my considerable fault finding abilities to strategise toward a solution. Using my superb interpersonal skills, I implemented weekly solution focused meetings to collaborate with all middle factory staff for the purpose of reducing waste and costs, and increasing profit. Ensuring all staff felt safe and able to express their ideas, I took care to establish the meeting as a positive space, with a focus on solutions, rather than blame. Naturally, communication vastly improved, and a greater sense of engagement amongst staff ensued. In addition to chairing and minuting the meeting, I tracked the implementation and development of the suggested solutions to ensure progress. As a result, within six months we were able to reduce factory expenses by ten percent.

As CFO, I used my high level interpersonal skills to establish and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, while overseeing all financial operations of the company. KEY ACHIEVEMENT The implementation of new systems and controls, where none previously existed and the consolidation of five retail stores, and head office, including extensive reporting by store, whole group, actual and budget variances, head office expenses and a bi-annual cash flow forecast.
