Nuclear Spectroscopic Telescope Array: Stray Light View of Accreting Atolls: GX 9+9 • Observed and analyzed stray light detected from NuSTAR telescope • Processed data from the accreting atoll source, GX 9+9, determined the region of the source on a hard-intensity diagram (HID) to observe changes in the spectral state of GX 9+9 over time • Modeled the continuum spectra and reflection emission of GX9+9 and fitted models of the spectra to determine the appropriate values that led to calculating the radius constraints and extent of the boundary layer between the accretion disk and the NS surface Show less
