I often conduct research with my students trying to find predictors for their success.       I am a clinical counselor. I work with adults in their 20's and older. My clients generally present with anxiety, PTSD, and/or trauma. I use cognitive behavioral and humanistic techniques to help clients develop insight. Once they understand themselves and the issues they are working on, I use EMDR to heal the body and mind. EMDR allows the cognitive and emotional parts of the brain to sort out the parts of the trauma or other issue and create harmony and peace in the mind. It also relieves the body of carrying the trauma.
