As CEO of Diversity Spectrum, I continue to advise the Association for Women's Career Development Hungary (AWCDH) and serve, together with their CEO, as a delegate to the UN Commission on the Status of Women. This past March, focus was centered on the role of women worldwide and their relationship to sustainability. Many meetings also convened on last year's theme of preventing violence against women and girls. AWCDH is also currently focused on supporting the rights of older women to be free from abuse in all forms, including financial and physical. As I result, I also advise OWN, the EU based Older Women's Network. In Santa Fe, NM, as volunteer Executive Director of Tutoring for the Interfaith Coalition on Public Education, I recruit, organize and train tutors in Algebra I, II, Geometry, Pre-calc, applied math, computer science, principles of technology, Spanish, French and English/ESL to serve Santa Fe High School. Tutoring is provided to 3 Academies that make up SFHS: Innovation, Culinary/Hospitality, and Arts & Humanities. Now in our third year to help students further their academic achievements, this program is becoming a valuable component to education reform in New Mexico and a demonstration of successful community involvement in helping students. Our program has now spread to providing medical tutoring to Santa Fe Community College nursing students and to Mandela Magnet School 9th grade math and advanced placement math students. Diversity Spectrum continues to promote equality for women and girls and marginalized groups including Latinos and African Americans. Primary focus currently is creating and supporting venues to apprise young girls of opportunities in STEM related fields, particularly in NM. Through the American Assoc. of Univ. Women, in 2015 & 2016, I have volunteered for "Expanding Your Horizons," a STEM camp for girls, grades 5-8; and Tech Trek, a one week STEM-based summer camp for upcoming 8th grade girls, Show less
