Consultant at the WHO Western Pacific Regional Office (WPRO) •Developed structured high-profile case study reports on the COVID-19 response and UHC in four selected WPRO countries with a relevant research topic provided by WHO. •Prepared health financing, COVID-19 and UHC dashboards for 49 ADB countries to be published on WPRO’s website and presented at the joint Health and Finance Ministers’ meeting organised by WHO and ADB in September 2020. •Quantified the economic returns of healthy ageing in the Western Pacific Region by developing country-specific empirical reports. However, a new set of six country studies by the European Observatory for Health Systems and Policies, WHO Western Pacific Regional Office, and WKC, shows how country investments in healthy ageing could positively affect economic growth across a range of country settings (Australia, Japan, Korea, Mongolia, New Zealand and Viet Nam) in the Western Pacific Region with over a third of the world's population 65 years and older. Investments in healthy ageing can health countries realize the full potential of its older population and contribute to economic growth. •Updated a series of ten systematic literature reviews synthesizing quantitative evidence of the effectiveness of country pharmaceutical pricing policies in accordance with the WHO guidelines • Advised a wider network of consultants on the interpretation of findings and risk of bias assessment of quasi-experimental study designs, such as the difference-in-difference • Read and extracted data from robust study designs, including controlled before-after, difference-in-difference, panel and regressions, interrupted time series and repeated measures analyses • Assisted project managers in the construction of the data extraction sheet, ensuring that it fits the WHO protocol as well as the different eligible study designs • Supported researchers in producing summary of findings and risk of bias assessment tables, following the GRADE methodology to evaluate the overall strength, direction and quality of the evidence • Aided researchers in finalizing the grey literature search • Contributed to the writing of the final report ‘WHO Guideline on Country Pharmaceutical Pricing Policies’ published in 2021 (see attached) •The full study protocol is published: Tordrup D, van den Ham HA, Glanville J, Mantel-Teeuwisse AK.
