  I was the team's autism specialist. advising and supporting schools in the Hampshire area for HCC to help them to work together with parents and children to understand and improve behaviour. I ran my own diary, inputted data, devised, collated and interpreted an anonymous survey (of all the Infant, Junior and Primary schools covered by our team) asking children and teachers about their experiences with autism to identify areas that the team could improve their support in therefore being more targeted in our approach. I devised and produced an Autism Audit for schools. I devised, developed and presented Training programmes for children, teaching and support staff and colleagues. I observed children, met with Head Teachers. staff and parents to feedback and develop action plans. I wrote reports to support children who were being referred for Education Healthcare Plans ( at that time known as Statements of Special Needs).I developed and delivered Parent Information Sessions for parents and carers of children with autism.
