I had the distinct pleasure of providing central HR consultation support to Lydia Lloyd and her team, during her tenure as the Associate HR Administrator for the Department of Internal Medicine, at VCU Health. I partnered with her regularly to work through complex compensation, recruitment (staff and medical/research faculty), employee relations, and training needs in her area. Lydia provided HR leadership for one of the largest School of Medicine departments and did so with such grace. Every encounter with Lydia was professional and highly organized. She truly has a servant’s heart and worked diligently to ensure fairness and equity in all personnel decisions. I miss working with her and would welcome the opportunity to partner with her again.
