I have worked alongside Lydia for over three years now and I consider myself lucky to learn from her every day. Lydia has the ability to take a complex situation or problem and make it feel like no big deal. This is no small part due to her impressive problem solving abilities, direct and effective communication style, and ability to think quickly and creatively under pressure. Lydia is never one to shy away from a challenge and in fact, she thrives doing just that. Internally, Lydia manages teams and projects with grace, giving each teammate enough autonomy to shine, but enough direction to understand the project well and get it done on time. She's able to seamlessly drift between the role of project manager, strategist, and account manager, touching all aspects of a projects and making them better for it. Externally, Lydia is able to build long-lasting relationships with clients who trust her for her honest communication, willingness to think outside the box, and organizational prowess. Lydia is a fierce and natural leader. Her years of agency experience and ability to think through a problem from all angles make her an undeniable asset within an agency environment. Above all else, though, Lydia is a joy to be around. The sense of humor, can-do attitude, and sense of camaraderie she brings to work every day are invaluable.

Lydia was one of my very first hires at Beutler Ink—for good reason. She brings equal parts strategy and client service to every project she touches, and her colleagues and her clients are the better for it. Lydia is fiercely loyal. She protects her team's time, resources, and viewpoints with the same ferocity she defends her clients' goals, timelines, and budget. She's also incredibly organized, so she can recall (or dig up) exact quotations from meetings that took place months ago, ensuring everyone is on the same page. But perhaps the thing that best sets Lydia apart from other account managers is her ability to connect with people. She always finds the perfect GIF to celebrate a team member's promotion or comes up with just the right game to play at team events. On the customer side, she remembers birthdays and children's names; she brainstorms unique gifts that let our partners know we're more than just a marketing agency. This ability to understand people even led Lydia to an unofficial role leading our HR department—she has such a knack for finding talent who will fit perfectly with the rest of our team, she now vets résumés for all job openings within the company. You might have heard the old agency adage that "account management is the art of yes, while project management is the art of no." Lydia manages to embody the best of both arts. The result is a slew of happy coworkers and customers—what more can you ask for?
