I worked as an associate at Sunglass Hut for the Luxottica company, where I would often have to engage in customer services skills as well as marketing and selling a particular pair of sunglasses to an individual customer. I was expected to study and familiarize myself with all top fashion styles, benefits, and drawbacks of each brand within the store. Apart from the sunglasses, I was also responsible for switching out and setting up the window advertisements. Having been an avid reader since I could actually read, I absolutely loved this job. I was expected to guide and grant information to any and all customers regardless the question. I was also expected to stay current on my reading and encouraged to share my thoughts with customers about the books that I have read. I experienced a lot more creative control with advertising and I had lots of fun with that, as well. Having been an avid reader since I could actually read, I absolutely loved this job.
