PR Intern
-
Mar 2019 - May 2019
As PR Intern, my role included assisting the PR Office at schuh. This role required me to relocate from Nottingham, to London. My time at schuh included dealing with sample requests for clients such as Grazia, Elle and OK!, analysing and tracking print media coverage and processing returns from product samples. I was fortunate to work at schuh over a period of event planning and executing, which enabled me to develop my skills in this area. I was given responsibility for an integral part of the event. Said event was aimed at influencers, which gave my first hand experience in understanding the selection and importance of appropriate influencers for schuh. Moreover, I worked alongside the team in liaising with influencers and running influencer events. With influencers and talent management more important than ever, this was particularly insightful. This role allowed me to develop a broader understanding of the fast moving fashion industry, and apply my skills to practical tasks. My time at schuh ignited my passion for PR, social media, and the faced paced excitement of the fashion industry. Show less
