Team Leader
-
Jun 2009 - Sep 2013
I was given management opportunities at a range of events; such as Hay Festival, Ideal Home Show, Hampton Court Flower Show, and many more to promote and increase the clientel for the related promotion. Being creative, proactive, and taking initiative reinforced my duties and responsibilities, whilst developing public speaking skills. I was appointed team leader during the Olympics at Hyde Park's Live Screens to oversee various publications, ensuring the event ran smoothly whilst organising staff effectively and problem solving in high pressured situations. Through this I gained valuable interpersonal skills, as we recruited from all over the U.K.

Part I Architectural Assistant
-
Dec 2010 - Sep 2011
During my year out I gained quality experience at a London based architecture practice called Lynas Architecture. Our work consisted of various scale projects from smaller residential extensions to larger scale mix use developments. My experience was rich in that our office was based on site of a £12 million mixed use scheme in Hackney, whereby I witnessed the progression of construction everyday as well as carrying out other site visits and surveys, predominately on residential projects. I was afforded the opportunity to work on a Grade II* Listed Church to refurbish the facility areas, which entailed meetings with Hackney council for planning consents, preparation of design and access statements and due diligence reports. Overall, I loved the projects and thoroughly enjoyed working with everyone in the office, it was a great experience.

Jul 2006 - Jul 2006
Working in a small team with an Architect and a Structural Engineer, I gained the skill in using AutoCAD and produced technical drawings to be sent off to suppliers and manufacturers. Through this I broadened my understanding of building and the construction industry, paying close attention to the importance of the smaller technological details, as well as the finalised construction and completed project as a whole.
