  Serious gaming platform for business and education (SeGaBu) is a joint project of Kajaani University of Applied Sciences, Oulu University of Applied Sciences, University of Oulu and Finnish Online UAS. The goal of the SeGaBu -project is to develop education for serious games. E-learning platforms are changing and challenging the ways we think about learning. However, not all of the existing e-learning platforms and solutions fully utilize the possibilities of today's technology. More innovative, collaborative, and motivating ways to learn could be created for example with the help of gamification, UX, and service design.   Oulun Lyseo runs the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme in two locations: Oulu and Sotkamo. Yearly, a number of courses are offered to the Sotkamo students via distance teaching that causes problems to both teachers and students involved, The purpose of this project was to BRIDGE the distance between Oulu and Sotkamo through offering pedagogical and technological solutions for the Biology lessons taught by the teacher from Oulu. The project has visible results. First of all the client and students are satisfied with the technological solutions. The distance learning is becoming easier and more interesting. This technology includes independent cognitive activity aimed at research, processing, the acquisition of educational information, using game methods to involve students in creative activities.
