  During this second year I was an engineer within the Hydrodynamics & Stability department of the TU Delft Solar Boat team. I was solely responsible for the design and production of the hydrofoils of the boat using the knowledge acquired in the last year.   The TU Delft Solar Boat Team is an multidisciplinary Dream Team of the TU Delft. During 1 year a solar powered hydrofoil boat is built which is then used to compete in solar boat races. During this year I was chief of an engineering department within the TU Delft Solar Boat Team and pilot of the boat during the races. In this department the main responsibility was the design of the hydrofoils which lift the boat out of the water. Within this year the performance of the boat was increased by 35% and we achieved a new top speed of 52 km/h. Show less
