I just started working on the position of a host, my duties are to make sure customers who want to sit down and eat find a place to sit. I track how many tables each waitress/waitresses get from the night. I also work with the salads in the kitchen. I read the ticket and see if its for pick up or table service, and then read to see if its a "House salad" or "Caesar salad". If its for someone who is eating in the restaurant, I make the salad depending on the size and make in on the plate and wait for someone to take it and serve it to the customer. If its for take out, I put it into a box and make sure to bag it carefully and wait for the customer to come pick it up. Show less
