Confirm personnel have properly lined up tanks, components, valves and hoses, and have performed required preoperational functions such as, but not limited to, pre‐inspections ofequipment, water‐draining, tank gauging, sampling, product re‐circulations. Also, eitherpersonally control, or coordinate with operations personnel, operation of all fuel transfer pumps. Accurately maintain all fuel operations logs and records, and the Dispatch Office (Bldg. 409) status board. monitor the automated tank Gauging (ATG) system displays, and advise supervisory personnel of any emergencies, or any unusual events, which may affect fueling operations. Ensure the two (2) Oil Water separators servicing the main tank farm are checked and are in normal functioning status. (i.e., no high oil condition).Compute fuel quantities as required to support on‐going operations, and reconcile any apparent discrepancies in report provided by subordinate personnel. Promptly forward fuel operational records to the fuels accounting office. Perform pre‐operational inspections and preventive maintenance of fuel vehicles, pantographs, filter separators and truck fill‐stands and per standard operating procedures (SOPs), fuel operating instruction (FOLs), and standard work practices, as required. Correctly complete required operational checklists and forms, and promptly forward sameto supervisory personnel. Report all material and safety discrepancies to the lead man, aviation and mobile refueling operations and/or the pol section leader as applicable. Perform aircraft, ship, and ground servicing equipment and vehicle, refueling and de‐fueling operation with aircraft direct fuel systems (pantographs) or mobile fuel vehiclesand truck fill‐stands; re‐circulate and take low point drain samples for vehicles and equipment, prior to the operations; conduct tank to tank and truck‐to‐distribution system/tank transfers, and perform pre/post gauging and product temperature measurements of tank as required. Observe gauging and metering device during operations. Report readings as required, and immediately advisethe POL section leader of any abnormal operating condition noted. Properly wear PPE and follow safety procedures. Promptly take action to ensure safety of personnel and equipment during operation, to include stopping an operation if a safety discrepancyis noted.
