In the summer of 2017, I worked in-home care at the City of Helsinki. My job included assisting the elderly in their daily chores and being a companion. The job taught me a lot, and I gained work experience in the care industry. Through this work, I learned to feel empathy for sick people and got first-hand how diseases affect everyday life and how important the right kind of support and medication is.
