I had the pleasure of meeting Lula at an orientation as we were both starting our careers with CIBC. She had just moved over from another company and was in a much more senior role than I was; but took the time to offer great advice over coffee that helped me build my career. Fast forward 4 years: I had moved into the Recruitment profession and began working with Lula as a client partner. I placed several candidates in her group, and each one mentioned how much they enjoyed working with Lula and her team. She built a great working environment for those reporting to her and enhanced the bank's strategic sourcing and vendor management functions significantly, ensuring the bank got the best bang for its buck. Most important to me: She was a pleasure to work with. Our opportunity to work together ended after I relocated to Calgary for business. But Lula will always be one of the best clients I've ever had the pleasure of working with. I believe her colleagues would echo this statement.
