I trained and worked as a carpenter, focusing on residential refurbishments, extensions, bespoke kitchen design & build, and constructing timber frame houses. I also have experience in set design and have worked on large events with short time frames. Many of the practical skills I mastered in this time - planning, thinking creatively, solving problems, simplifying processes, respecting the details - have been hugely beneficial throughout the rest of my career.
