I created both the frontend and backend for a website for Prometheus Science Bowl, the largest-scale independent science bowl tournament to date with a roster of over 100 teams and a prize pool of $28,000. My website included functionality such as: - Using Google OAuth to authenticate users as tournament admins, moderators, or players and storing session tokens in the user's cookies - Placing moderators and teams in the appropriate rooms by pulling from a Google Spreadsheet - Creating a convenient interface for moderators to run their science bowl rooms, allowing games to progress up to 2x as quickly compared to traditional tournaments - Using an intuitive, user-friendly UI to allow players and moderators who aren't tech-savvy to play in the competition - Uploading scores to a Google Spreadsheet after each round to allow for automated brackets and results Show less
