During my tenure at Checkerplate Software I have been responsible for the design, development and delivery of all major client projects. While the projects vary wildly, the majority have been in within the early learning, government, logistical and charitable sectors. My day to day responsibilities include architecting/developing scalable web applications/APIs, developing mobile applications and architecting scaleable and redundant infrastructure in Amazon Web Services. I am also directly responsible for the management of all non-executive employees and teams. In addition to my development responsibilities, I consult with a number of software/development based organisations. This consulting involves converting strategic goals to actionable development tasks, reviewing internal development teams, improving internal processes/tooling and advising companies on how to adhere to best practice in the cloud.

Mystro was built to fill a gap in the online health practise management market, and provides client management, billing and appointment scheduling capabilities to a range of businesses in 26 countries. My primary responsibilities included architecting the front and backend technology stack, designing and building the supporting infrastructure in AWS, building the private API and integrating with third party partners. Initially tasked with assisting the existing development team on the main sales website, I was quickly assigned a number of responsibilities. These included extending the in-house (custom built) CRM/sales platform so that it could facilitate a expansion into the American and Canadian markets. In addition to my backend development tasks, I was also solely responsible for the design and development of an in-house logistics management platform. This platform quickly replaced the existing paper based manufacturing and warehouse management processes. My work significantly increased productivity, ultimately saving thousands of man hours (on a recurring basis) and ensured that Vuly met their regulatory compliance requirements. Upon project completion management had a point in time snapshot of the entire manufacturing and logistics chain, from when a product was boxed, to when the customer received it.
