  I currently hold the dynamic role of Regulatory Compliance Specialist at Quooker. Quooker, with its headquarters in Ridderkerk, the Netherlands, is the inventor of world's first boiling-water tap. Similarly revolutionary innovations followed, which resulted in users being able to additionally dispense hot, cold, mixed and sparkling water; all from the same (4-in-1!) tap. These innovations were implemented whilst maintaining adequate space within kitchen cabinets and have resulted in a positive impact on end-users' energy expenditure. I am the key contact within this role, which has its focus in product certification. I get to explore complex and ever-changing international legislation in the context of materials in contact with drinking water. Furthermore, I assist our engineers in ensuring our products are compliant with existing and upcoming legislation as well as legislation in new markets to be explored. Responsibilities and themes are wide-ranging and include: ● Sanitary related legislation and certification (KTW-BWGL, Kiwa, WRAS, Belgaqua, GDV, ETA-VA, SINTEF, NSF, WELS, Water Efficiency .. etc) ● Input and coordination of compliance in the context of CE-Marking (Certification trajectories; EMC, LVD, ErP, RoHS, Declaration of Conformity, User Manuals, etc ..) ● Directive 2010/35/EU (Transportable Pressure Equipment) ● WEEE, Packaging legislation and their underlying national deviations ● Regulation (EC) No. 1935/2004 (Food Contact Materials) ● Logistics Export documentation ● Handling- and assisting in audits and inspections Show less
