Unlocked Graduates Leadership Development Programme is a graduate scheme designed to develop the future leaders of society by focusing on reducing the poor reoffending rates within the UK. Myself and my Unlocked Graduates colleagues do this by working on the frontline as Prison Officers within Her Majesty's Prison and Probation Service across London.Working as a Prison Officer is a very challenging role, since it involves working with individuals deemed too dangerous to be in society… Unlocked Graduates Leadership Development Programme is a graduate scheme designed to develop the future leaders of society by focusing on reducing the poor reoffending rates within the UK. Myself and my Unlocked Graduates colleagues do this by working on the frontline as Prison Officers within Her Majesty's Prison and Probation Service across London.Working as a Prison Officer is a very challenging role, since it involves working with individuals deemed too dangerous to be in society. However, it can also be a highly rewarding role, since a lot of the individuals detained in prison are some of the most vulnerable in society, who need help to turn their lives around. During my experience as a Prison Officer through Unlocked Graduates I believe I have built on a wide range of people skills, such as negotiation, de-escalation, and persuasion, that would be highly applicable to a multitude of roles. I maintained these excellent customer services under high pressure situations; for example, during the intervals of the shows there were high volumes of customers to serve before the show recommenced. Therefore this required me to plan ahead, to ensure I was in the best possible position to be as efficient as possible. Show more Show less

I worked at Hogarths Hotel part-time from whilst studying at college, and also worked there during the holidays when I was home from University in my first year.
