On a daily basis we processed lifts and goods of all kinds, utilizing the crane and forklift. Activities: - Dogging work of all kinds (incl. selecting appropriate gear and method; hooking up the load with the selected method; checking our setup for faults and safety considerations; communicating with the crane driver; lifting and landing loads. - Forklift: utilizing the forklift was another of my main responsibilities. I spent several hours a day on the forklift moving goods around - to and from the loading bay, lay down area, storage areas. Any trucks that came in were also my responsibility on the forklift. Precast concreting. On a daily basis I went through the process of setting up the molds (steel and wood) and concreting various types of blocks. Directing the concrete truck, vibrating, screeding, magging, edging and troweling. Forklift was used daily for various purposes - including lifting blocks with jib extension. Formwork - not my main objective, I also helped in setting up formwork and stripping formwork Precast concreting.
