- Conducted a durational loss ratio study to quantify the amount of anti-selection wear off that Cigna’s Supplemental Health products experience from year to year - Pulled, cleaned, and analyzed premium and claims data to produced dynamic excel graphs designed to view the impacts of different cuts of the data on each product’s loss ratios - Leveraged findings to refine the loss ratio assumptions for my team’s FP&A quarterly projection model - Presented findings to Cigna’s entire Supplemental Health and Commercial FP&A teams - Placed 1st in a Pricing and Underwriting Case Study in which 50 actuarial interns, split up into 8 groups, competed against one another to win bids while pricing and underwriting various medical, pharmacy, and senior cases in a simulated market using a variety of relative factors and actuarial judgment Show less
