Worked as part of the GP7200 propulsion engineering team who are responsible for the maintenance activities carried out on every GP7200 engine that passes through the plant.Compiled technical reports detailing the incoming condition of the exposed engine hardware to be used by customers and fleet modelling teams to assess the condition of similar life engines on-wing. Reports included photographs of stripped and exposed hardware, with special attention given to any engines removed for investigation workscopes. Trusted to attend daily production meetings with as the sole representative from the team and feedback any queries or issues impacting production.Raised departure requests to hardware owners when the condition of engine hardware is outside of the limits defined in the engine manual but may be technically acceptable to return to service. Contributed a significant amount of cost saving to the company through departure request acceptance.Took the lead on a technical project aiming to prevent strip of High Pressure Compressor Forward Cases by replacing Outer Composite Bushings in-situ. Ran meetings involving senior engineering and operational staff. Led to $500,000 cost saving on every engine with High Pressure Compressor exposed.Completed a year-long cost saving project, updating the GP7200 engine manual to reduce strip at shop visits. Final pitch to MD and other senior leaders with an emphasis on lean six sigma methodologies used. Project resulted in annual cost savings of $180,000.Helped prevent an Aircraft-on-Ground situation as a result of a test issue. Saved the business from paying contract penalties and prevented disruption to passengers and customers.Received an ‘Exceeds Expectations’ score in final internship performance review.
