Security Supervisor

Jul 2006 - Jul 2009
Was contracted to provide security to the US forces in Victory Base Complex in Baghdad Iraq. While doing this job I went through all the military ranks up to the level of Staff Sergeant (senior Non-Commissioned Officer), all this was attributed to my performance and commitment to my job. Got numerous skills not limited to managing big squads at a supervisory level. I was required to keep alert and monitor my area of operation, report any suspicious activities within my sector using the secure radio system, commanded the watch tower line specialists, was promoted to Sergeant and given extra responsibility of overseeing Entry Control Points (ECPs), was promoted to Staff Sergeant and deployed to oversee High Occupancy Facilities (HOFs),redeployed at the Al Faw Palace which housed offices of the US Commanding Generals and was in charge of their security in cooperation with the US Army officers. This experience enriched me with so many security details, protocol and more levels of intelligence work. I was required to write daily reports, supervise my troops, keep my troops updated about the threat levels at hand, make daily equipment inventory for weapons, ammunition, binoculars, etc, was required to effectively and accurately report all incidents that took place at my post & actions taken, constantly training my troops for mental and physical alertness, strict enforcement of the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) rules among my troops and the US Army, observing protocol of all Commissioned Officers and Non Commissioned Officers (NCOs) of the US Army and generally ensuring that the Commanding Generals (CGs) were operating in a very safe environment.
