  Lead technical engineer for an engineering group of 15 people. Guide product development efforts for electro-mechanical and mechanical automation products from the concept stage to production release and offering for sale within budget, on-time and meeting deliverables following our ISO9001 product development process. Direct the development of custom products, and modifications and improvements to existing product lines. Coordinate directly with the management and sales teams to drive cost efficient customer solutions aligned with company strategy. Deliver companywide technical leadership for mechanical products, electric machines and electric motor drives supporting business development opportunities. Lead product development and engineering compliance efforts for UL, CE, ATEX and other customer and regulatory product requirements. Leader and cross-functional team member of failure modes and effects analysis, test method development, process development and product and process safety reviews. Correspond regularly with senior management team on project status to date, risks identified and mitigated, and roadblocks that affect timelines or budgets. Lead engineer on new OEM opportunities in Medical Device, Automotive, Oil and Gas and other customer market segments. Show less
