IrisGuard is the world-leader in iris recognition solutions; with unique end-to-end solutions, IrisGuard offers rapid and real-time iris solutions at mass transit points. IrisGuard designed and implemented the world's first iris recognition solutions at a border point in the UAE. With tens of millions of transactions over almost a decade of operations, this is the largest Iris deployment in the world. Other countries have adopted similar systems from IrisGuard. In 2009, IrisGuard rolled out the world's first full Iris banking customer identification system at Cairo Amman Bank - CAB Teller, Customer Service and ATMs; the world first such deployment. Since then, many banks have followed suit including the Housing Bank and others. More recently, IrisGuard has pioneered and perfected real-time cross-border refugee iris enrollment from multiple countries, with a range of services (financial, medical and humanitarian) offered that are solely based on the refugee's iris, reducing their suffering and providing a most humane way to serve and treat refugees and guard their benefits and rights. Among these benefits, refugees are able to receive their cash & food voucher program entitlements on ATM and in supermarkets without a card or a pin. Resettlement and medical care are also other benefits reliably delivered to refugees using only their eyes. Show less

Engineering Apprentice
-
Sep 2012 - May 2016
I joined Cranfield Precision as an engineering apprentice straight from school. At Cranfield Precision I undertook a Level 3 diploma and HNC in Electronic and Electrical Engineering. My job involves repairing and building CNC control boards and servo amplifiers, leading on various assignments and side projects. I have also worked in other areas including wiring, human machine interfaces and electrical cabinet building. When working in these various placements I was able to develop improvements to systems and enhance techniques by sharing best practices learnt across the various lines of business areas. I am always looking to make innovative improvements and simplify processes where I can. Show less

I worked at my family's local business, which specializes in house removals and also in various second hand items; my role was mainly reactive depending on the types of work we had on and involved assisting customers with loading their vehicles and taking telephone inquiries from customers. This job greatly bolstered my confidence when dealing with the general public and improved my communication skills working with a diverse range of customers. I worked for Bonus Aviation for 2 weeks as an intern. This work experience was beneficial to completing my Level 2 diploma in Engineering providing me with hands on technical experience. While at the company I was part of a team to maintain small private aircraft. Working on aircraft helped me understand the importance of why all work should be completed to high standard giving me a real sense of responsibility.
