  Illini Blockchain is UIUC's student blockchain organization and the hub of its blockchain ecosystem. Our external mission is to make UIUC a recognized hub of blockchain innovation & entrepreneurships. Our internal mission is to help members find awesome friends while building skills and experiences to become successful in tech and startups. As of Fall 2022, we have 30+ team members & 500+ community members. Our external mission is to make UIUC a recognized hub of blockchain innovation & entrepreneurships. Our internal mission is to help members find awesome friends while building skills and experiences to become successful in tech and startups. As of Fall 2022, we have 30+ team members & 500+ community members. I am constantly trying to improve Illini Blockchain and wear a lot of different hats: - On the president side, I align members with our mission / values, steal successful strategies from other clubs, & host meetings / check-ins to receive feedback and iterate as problems arise. - On the operations side, I create & test internal systems to achieve our semester-long goals while setting us up to sustain decades-long success (ex: weekly stand-ups, member check-ins, project demo day, etc). - On the research side, I help set the scope for research projects, onboard new members, & create educational material. We've made 15+ projects, courses, & websites on topics ranging from consensus mechanisms to DeFi use by different countries. - On the community side, I host public events / fireside chats, write our community newsletter, & help build our brand name through social media marketing. We've hosted 1000s of students, interviewed the successful professionals (like the CSO of Binance), & grown our newsletter to 500+ students. - On the partnerships side, I cold outreach to aligned companies and clubs, take calls and develop those relationships, & form partnerships when goals align. We've formed 10+ partnerships with big companies (like Solana) and high-growth startups (like 101.xyz). - On the recruitment side, I led our marketing initiatives, hosted info nights, & coordinated the application process. In our 1st semester, we received 65 applications. In our 2nd semester, we grew to 141 applicants. I am learning a lot about web3, sales, & organizational leadership.
