      • Jul 2013 - Sep 2015

In 2013 I joined to Reach Local who help local businesses acquire, maintain and retain clients via online marketing solutions, including search engine marketing, display advertising, display remarketing and assisted chat service, each targeted to the SMB market. At Reach Local I helped grow the business through sales and was part the effort that allowed the licensor to enter the market. I began working with them as Digital Marketing Consultant before being promoted to a Sales Executive role. I was among the first out of team to be promoted to this role. This was entirely based on results in terms of bringing new business into the company. As a top achiever in this role, I became more confident of my own abilities and an expertise in the area of digital marketing. It was my success here that spurred me on to set up my own company. SureFire Search Ltd was recognised as one of New Zealand’s leading search marketing agencies. The company had been operating for over a decade and specialised in SEO, paid search, web analytics and related services. I was new to this industry but could see the huge potential of digital marketing. After selling my previous business I wanted to develop in this industry and use my experience in sales and marketing to build relationships with businesses. While at Surefire I exceeded the KPIs I had to meet. In my role as an Internet Marketing Consultant I built a rapport with businesses and developed our relationships over time. We shared results on the regular basis within the company and there was extensive digital marketing training provided. 2013 was a new time in terms of technology. A major part of my role involved trying to bring technical language and an explanation of digital advertising solutions to businesses. When speaking with SMBs we were in an education role. Day to day I met with businesses and talked through their digital requirements. It was a huge learning curve for me and in this position I developed my digital marketing skills and learned how to explain technology in a way that any business can easily understand. Show less

    • National Sales Manager
      • Mar 2005 - Jan 2013

Concept Fitness was the exclusive distributor in New Zealand and the Asia Pacific of the world leading fitness brand Technogym and I was National Sales Manager for the Italian brand. They manufactured cardio and strength training equipment for personal/business use. For 7 years I was the Sales Representative for Technogym in New Zealand (we had exclusive representation). When I first began working for Concept Fitness we had no local market presence. The challenge was to bring the brand to large facilities like Les Mills New Zealand and various local Councils. In my role I introduced the product to these organisations. Over my time at the company we went from zero market share to being on a par with the other leading products in the marketplace. This role was my first experience of managing a team. We had 3 service technicians and an another sales rep. I developed a strong, positive work culture and built great relationships with clients. • Director
      • Sep 2007 - May 2010

In 2007 I set up Wellness Health Club to showcase the Technogym brand that I was marketing. Because Technogym had low market presence in New Zealand at the time, it was important to showcase in a real-life setting how the product operated. I was Director at the gym and we focused on a high-end clientele. The venture was successful in terms of both profitability and presenting technology at the forefront of fitness. In 2010 I sold the business. In 2007 I set up Wellness Health Club to showcase the Technogym brand that I was marketing.
