As a mechanical engineer at Veolia CHP my remit is to produce comprehensive and detailed design packages to enable the successful installation, commissioning, operation and servicing of Combined Heat and Power natural gas engine installations. Providing support throughout the full life cycle of a project from the initial proposal offered to commissioning of systems. This covers a varied range of Turn Key and Supply & Commission projects. Ranging from engines producing 140kW up to +5.5MW in electrical generation, and including steam and trigeneration schemes. I deliver a site specific solution to best meet the customer's energy demands and maximise the financial and carbon savings available. This includes developing 2D and 3D designs & concepts, PFD's, P&ID’s, design risk assessments, functional descriptions, technical specifciations and various other design documents, managing the development process directly with the client and other stakeholders such as the principal designers, suppliers, contractors etc. I carry out all supporting calculations towards the design and integration of control systems within the mechanical systems.

I was very pleased to be invited to join NG Bailey, a high respected specialist M&E contractor, on such a prestigious and iconic rail engineering project.
