When I first found GEBIo, which was then the first studying group of the bachelor of biology degree at The University of São Paulo, I had an immense gap in event coordination and marketing that I needed to bridge. Looking for co-founder, I had the pleasure to come across Luiza who was invaluable to the growth of the group. Luiza came onboard as a co-founder at the very early stages of the group and was tasked with marketing and coordinating all events for the group. Luiza not only excelled at her role, with a track record of successfully coordinating an average of 2 major TEDex-like events a month for the group - bringing in key speakers, securing the venue and making sure we had everything in place to host a successful and memorable event each time - but also exceeded my expectations. Luiza set the foundations for growth in the group, taking us from 5 members to a successful marketing campaign that saw the group established itself in the university, resulting in recurring new members applications each year above our uptake capacity. Luiza has also demonstrated incredible expertise and tenacity in growing our online presence, allowing the group to grow from 0 followers to nearly 10 thousand followers as of the present day, with the help of other members and by providing mentorship to the latest committee even after she was no longer formally involved in the group. Highlights of Luiza skillset are her attention for details and ability to think outside the box; Luiza's incredibly comfortable at thinking on her feet, performing under stressful situation and reasoning through challenges. She is also an incredible asset to work with at higher managerial positions, as her personality allows her to execute what's been agreed upon and build on it independently when there's opportunities for improvement. Luiza is a thinker and incredibly talent. She's grown to become an incredible friend and I'd highly recommend her as a colleague and someone to work with.
